[TTT #006] Wait Before Buying New Gear – 1 December 2022

TIP #1

Are you looking to buy new gear? Wait.

Are you already familiar with that new piece of gear or do you just think that is going to be good for you?

My suggestion is to rent first and decide later whether it’s worth buying.

When I started creating videos for clients in 2018, I was very tempted to invest a significant amount of money, at the time for me, into my dream lens: the Sony 16-35mm f2.8 GM.

Luckily, I decided to rent it for one day first and I understood it only became a dream from watching youtube videos. It wasn’t what I really wanted.

TIP #2

Do you have extra gear you’re not using? Then rent it out!

My friend Seb helped me to discover Fatllama. It is an online website & app that allows you to rent out your gear with ease.

I started using Fatllama a couple of weeks ago and I’ve already made 100ÂŁ+ by renting things I don’t use.

If I only had known before… I could have made so much money out of sleeping lenses, lights, stands, drones…💸

If you sign up using this link you’ll get 20ÂŁ off your first rental.

Not sponsored or anything. I genuinely think It’s amazing.
